“Teacher Accused”

What happens when a Teacher is falsely accused of abuse in the classroom. The expectation is that she/he is well protected by all that surrounds them. Don’t be fooled by the organizations.Know who is there for you before it happens. Ask the questions now. Are you guaranteed the protection from your union? Do you have a blanket insurance on your present personal policy that will not cover you if you are legally accused of abuse by a student? Does your Union insurance cover you if you are convicted of abuse? What if any legal rights do you have? Does the administration have your back? Who can you trust?
Don’t be fooled by the Hippa and Ferpa laws. The laws “do not” cover a Teacher when it comes to protecting your medical records,Teachers “are not” a covered entity! Could a student accuse you of abuse if they find out you have a medical issue and use it against you.
Do your teachers aides have too much control in the classroom with a chance of putting your career in jeopardy. Do they possess enough education to make good decisions for you?
